B & O news, gigs…
Hello. Alexis here. I am making music with my friend and hot chip drummer Grovesnor, and together we are B & O. We opened for Scritti Politti in December last year, and Gang Gang Dance and the Junior Boys in Paris also. Now we are proud to play a handful of shows with New Build, and also one with The 2 Bears as well. UPDATE !! New Build Tour UK, US & Europe
NEW BUILD are a new band featuring Hot Chip members Al Doyle and Felix Martin. Al is also known for his time playing guitar for LCD Soundsystem.
They have put together a 7 piece live band featuring synths, drums, guitars, percussion, lots of singing, and general making of loud noises!
And they are taking it on the road this Spring to mark the release of their first ever album, visiting GLASGOW, LEEDS, MANCHESTER, LONDON, NEW YORK, SXSW, AMSTERDAM, BRUSSELS, PARIS, BERLIN, COLOGNE, COPENHAGEN & STOCKHOLM!

There will be some very cool support acts along the way, including BANG & OLUFSEN, a new duo which comprises ALEXIS TAYLOR and ROB SMOUGHTON (GROVESNOR).
And for the LONDON show there are even more very special guests! The party has now sold out but £5 tickets for the afterparty with all the DJ sets are still available, just arrive after 11pm.
The date is Friday March 9th, the venue is Corsica Studios in London.
New Build will be playing live earlier in the evening, and the show will be followed by a club night until 4am.
Now featuring the supreme DJ-ing talents of Joe Goddard and Raf Rundell (The 2 Bears), Dominik Eulberg and Hannah Holland!
The party is part of the first New Build tour in the UK, Europe and the US. It is to mark the release of the first New Build album “Yesterday Was Lived And Lost”.

The 2 Bears LP Be Strong – is out now via the good folks at Southern Fried Records – click here to buy from iTunes. You can hear the whole thing on the band’s site. Reviews have various described it “thumping album of proper house music” (Word), “a really beautiful work of art about love and unity” (Annie Mac) and “one of the most anticipated albums of 2012″ (The Observer). The 2 Bears – aka hardest working man in showbiz Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy – are playing a series of DJ gigs over the next couple of months in the UK before heading out to work on their winter tans in Australia. Their next single, Work, will be released on Southern Fried in November while their absolutely corking LP, Be Strong, will emerge in the New Year.
