Hot Chip celebrate the release of In Our Heads and the massive demand for their recently-announced October UK tour with a special one-off intimate gig in a UK town to be decided by their fans. Partnering with Songkick and Detourjam, Hot Chip will play a show on the 7th of October in either Folkestone, York or Stoke-on-Trent depending on which night generates the most interest from fans. Detourjam is an experimental new way for fans to get involved in deciding where bands tour; connecting fans and artists so that together they can put on unique and creative live music experiences.
In addition to that one-off gig, Hot Chip have also added a second hometown show at London’s Brixton Academy on Thursday 18th October due to huge public demand. Tickets are available now from the Hot Chip ticket store.
Hot Chip have also cracked the US Billboard Top 100 for the first time with In Our Heads, entering the chart last week at 58. The band has achieved their best charts worldwide for any of their five albums with top 50 placings in all major European territories and their first top 20 album in Australia.
Following their recent sold out UK tour, plus sold-out shows at Sonar in Barcelona and Hostess Club Weekend in Tokyo, Hot Chip are about to embark on a highly anticipated tour of the east coast in North America including headline appearances at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NYC Terminal 5 in Manhattan, and the Merriweather Pavillion in Columbia.
